Photoshop Express Community Guidelines

We created Photoshop Express to bring the legendary imaging magic of Photoshop to anyone with a mobile phone. We encourage Photoshop Express creators to explore their creativity and share their creative journey with others, anytime and anywhere that inspiration strikes. To help keep the quality of work hosted on the Photoshop Express platform high, these Photoshop Express Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) govern your use of Photoshop Express, and are incorporated by reference into the Adobe General Terms of Use.

1. Be Respectful and Safe

We have users of all ages across multiple geographies. Please only post content that is appropriate for a diverse, global audience. We don’t allow abusive, mature, or illegal content or behavior on Photoshop Express, including but not limited to, the following:

Please note that we report any material exploiting minors to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.

2. Be Supportive

We believe everyone is creative and we want to encourage Photoshop Express creators and viewers to amplify great work. Please share Photoshop Express projects in an encouraging, respectful, and constructive way and don’t forget to use the Like button on projects you love!

3. Be Authentic

Photoshop Express is a platform that enables content creators to post their creative work and interact genuinely with one another. To maintain the quality of these interactions, we disable accounts that engage in behavior that undermines the authenticity of our community, including but not limited to, the following deceptive, harmful behaviors:

Uploading other people's work as if it is your own is copyright infringement and is not tolerated. If you aren’t sure whether your use of someone else’s content or trademark in your own work is legal, you can talk to an attorney or consult publicly available reference materials at the following:

If you want to report misuse of your own creative work or your own trademark by one of our users, you can do that here: Reporting Infringement on Adobe’s Network form. If you have a contract or other dispute with a Photoshop Express user about content they have uploaded to our site, please resolve the issue directly with the user. We can’t moderate contract, employment, or other disputes between our users and the public.

4. Additional Guidelines

In addition to all the guidelines above, certain features within Photoshop Express require you to follow additional guidelines.

Remixing and #FreeToEdit

PSX community members who want other users to edit their work can add the hashtag “FreeToEdit” to their photos (“#FreeToEdit”). This creates a collaborative, creative environment for everyone to thrive in while using material with rightsholder permission. Tag your images with #FreeToEdit to be a part of the collaborative community of creatives and give others a license to create derivative works of your work. When a #FreeToEdit work is collaboratively edited, the resulting image is a “remix”. When a remix is made from your image, attribution and credit is always linked back to you.

To foster an environment of creativity for all, the “Allow Remix” option is automatically enabled during the sharing process. If you do not wish to allow remixing, simply turn off this option in the menu before posting. You can also delete any of your own images that have been previously remixed by navigating to your profile in the app, selecting the image, and tapping “Delete” from the 3-button options menu.

As always, be respectful and help maintain a positive, supportive culture and do not repost to other social channels or networks without the express permission of the original creator.

Copy and Apply Edits

In addition to letting you view and appreciate the creative work of others, Photoshop Express can also take you behind the scenes and show you the editing process that created the final result. Simply tap on the [+] plus icon in the upper right corner of the screen to copy the exact editing steps of your favorite image and then paste those same edit settings to your own image. Similar to Presets in Lightroom, these applied editing steps will recreate the same slider values and effects from the source image to your own. After applying the copied settings, take a moment to explore the settings and further refine the edits to create your own masterpiece. Please note that our content rules apply to both original and edited versions of the same image, since both may be visible through the app.

5. Report Abuse

If you encounter a post that you think should be removed, please let us know by tapping the Report Abuse option located under the More Options icon (ellipses). If you have any further issues, please send additional details to abuse@adobe.com.

6. More Information

We take down content that violates these guidelines and we reserve the right to take further action on your account. For more information about what you can and can’t do on our platform, check out our Terms of Use.

Thanks for using Adobe Photoshop Express! Together, we can inspire everyone to tell better stories and communicate their ideas with impact.
