Steve McGuire-Artist Statement

I keep it simple.  No long explanations or footnotes as to why it is.  
Most of my photography is from my own zip code reached by foot, boat, bicycle or car.  Of nature, landscapes and friends.  A moment of time that tells its own story.  I have a lifelong fascination with light.

I switched to digital photography about 8 years ago, when image quality caught up to film.  However, it has not really changed how I see photography or how I take pictures.  I do not alter images in ways I would not do with film.  

I hope to provoke a bit of thought and perhaps provide a moment of pleasure to the viewer.
