Using Photoshop Elements and iPhoto together

Also, would transferring video clips from iphoto/imovie into Premiere work as well? I am very new to this, and do not want to mess up my videos and picture too badly! If iPhoto opens Photoshop Elements but does not open your image when selecting a external edit, it is because the wrong application file has been selected. Please check "Use with iPhoto | Mac OS" (http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-iphoto-mac-os.html) for information on how to correctly setup Photoshop Elements as the external editor for iPhoto.
